Our Story

Grace and Andres grew up in the same town and had known each other since elementary school, but their story really began in sophomore-year public speaking class. Andres delivered a speech on how to kick a soccer ball and, apparently, made quite the impression. By junior year, they were officially dating and off to the races.

High school brought first dates, prom, graduation, and plenty of time getting to know each other’s families—horses and dogs included. Then came the bigger question: Would they stay together through college? The answer was yes. The details were TBD.

Grace headed to Washington, D.C., and later Boston, while Andres was in Providence. They each had their own college experience, fitting in visits whenever they could. By graduation, they were ready for a new adventure, preferably one in the same zip code.

So they packed up and moved to Austin, Texas. Together, they started their careers, made their way through first apartments and houses, and welcomed Dottie, their perfectly wild angel dog, into the family. Austin quickly became home, and life together turned out to be well worth the wait.

Shortly after their eight-year anniversary, Andres proposed during a trip to Mexico City on February 17, 2026.

Now, they’re heading back to where it all began, ready to bring their favorite people together to celebrate in August.
